The Shopping Cart (system) saves people
This system works as follows;
We use telephone to order Pizza, sanwich and other take out hot meals. And the foods will be delivered to our home in a moment.
Thanks to those people who work for the services, we can have a nice meal when we are really sick in bed for all day long. Soon, we will
be recovered from an ill. But, there're many people who can not be recovered so soon, such as disable person or elderly person.
For them, daily life itself is very tough. It's not easy for them to drive a car for a supermarket.
How wen can assist or help those people to live comfortablly?
Sooner or later, the internet system (internet itself and other services combined) will work just as telephone or fax machine we have now.
The telephone is being aveilable to send still and video images (not so clear, but better than nothing)
and the fax machine is being possible to send color images, but running costs for ink or toner is a little bit problem.
The internet and a PC have already had the above systems combined. It can send and receive photos and video.
To order a take out meal, we don't want to have a meal we don't know about it. Steake or Pizza is okay, we have known it well.
But, we can not eat Pizza, Steak or Sandwich everyday. There're lots of fine meals, Italian, Chinese, French, Japanese and so on.
People can go out for those meals. But, if you are sick or disabled, it's not easy to go out for it.
The Shopping Cart system will show you pictures of menu and you will know it what it looks like. To eat or not. This is very different
from telephone. People who can not go out, is able to have more variety foods.
Usual order for shopping cart is very complicated to put name, address, phone number, credit card number, expire date......
Everybody hates it.
For elderly people, it's maybe more headache to do so. But, don't worry. All the information will be able to be programmed in a PC in
advance. Just look for a picture of meal and click the icon. that's it. Any telephone doesn't work like this. If you are unable to
speak, how to do?
The price of less expensive PC is around $500.00
It's almost the same cost to have a fax machine which can send color images. Further more, the PC does not need to print out every
image. If it's stored in HDD (hard disk drive), and whenever we want, we can see it. Basically no ink or toner are needed to see images.
A central processing station will be operated by a company who has people to receive the signals from users of the system.
They receive users' signals and send it out to certain places such as police department, fire engine corp. or restaurants to whom the users
want to have meals (users are many, so different choice must be sent out to different places.)
A large scale telephone shopping company has tens of clarks to receive customers' calls from all over the states.
This system will also works nation wide basis, but it is better using in a local area. Because, sometimes it concerns people's life.
So, a quick response will be needed in some cases even if it's not very emergency case, such as system's repair or maintenance and so on.
If the system does not work, the central station must send a repair person to the house as early as possible like a telephone or
cable TV repair.
Even if not anyone operates the central processing station, still we are able to use this system as a small scale.
If it's without a station like this, all possible needs in this samples are 5 emergency contacts, 6 general services and 6 different restaurants are
needed to be preprogrammed in a PC of users. Before doing so, we have to find those service companies or shops, restaurants who will receive orders on line.
The Police, Fire engine co. and Umbulance etc., we have to ask the authorily in the town to use the internet to receive emergency calls (e-mails,
in this case) as same as telephone or fax machine now.
This system will help elderly people stay home alone or disabled persons live more comfortablly and their relatives can cut expenses
with much less anxiety.
