The Capitol of Bergen County, Hackensack was called as "Mouth of River" by native Americans.
It was firstly settled by Dutch some three hundreds year ago.
The river, Hackensack river was strategycally important at the time of American Revolutionary War as same as
Hudson river.
It's county's political center which has many offices of local and state government with 42,600 population (2000 US Census).
The city is surrounded by Little Ferry and South Hackensack to south, Hasbouck Heights to southwest, Lodi and Maywood to west,
River Edge to north, New Milford to northeast, Teaneck to east and Bogota to southeast.
There're many business like light industries and office buildings in the city.
There're more than 190 food relative business in the town.
On the Prospect Street, there're lots of high rise apatments and condominiums on the both side of the street.
It's on a hill of a top of Hackensack.
